Okay.. So it took me till I got to the 45% mark before Mal began to grow on me. His antics here, were exhausting to follow at times, to say the least. But by the end, I got him. I just think I prefer Mal in smaller doses. Like I got with him in book 1.
For awhile there I was worried about his coupling with Anne she just seemed so... not Mal's speed in many respects. But as the layers were peeled back, I got it. She was definitely yin to his yang. They fit.
This one had a surprising secondary plot concerning Mal's parents. It had heart. It was quite touching. I just wish for a better ending/closing in that regard, than what we got. Considering the set up we recieved for a good portion of novel concerning it.
All in all this was a good read. Book 1 & David, is still my fave book in this series thus far though :)
But I would recommend this read/series. Please read in order.
