Okay, I will be the first to admit, Hop got my attention at the beginning of this one, but then soon he and Lanie both began to sound just like the same ole, same ole, when it comes to KA's brand of Heroes & Heroines. So my attention left a bit. Still, as irritated as I would become, something kept telling me to not give up. Hop ended up surprising me. He was a bit (and I mean a small bit, but still this is something) different. Which was just enough for me to fall in love with the guy. And I must say I was happy to see that Lanie wasn't the long winded, inner monologue descriptive female of all things material here, either.

Unfortunately, concerning Ms. Lanie, DRAMA!!!!! x's infinity with this chick. It never got better. The moment I thought "ok, I get you Lanie" she'd do something else that would have me going back to my initial thoughts about her. I don't know, I just wish she had been a little more solid when it came to her issues & dealings with Hop. I'm really not sure if my issues with her has to do with the way things are executed on her part & then how the truth behind those actions & reactions are revealed, or if it's just her character & everything else that came with it. All I know is that I didn't like it. It didn't sit well with me.

I do like how things did finally come together, though. And you can't deny that when it came to the physical, Lanie & Hop were definitely hot together. I like how you get to see the secondary plots play out too. They were entertaining & added some color & giggle worthy moments to this story. So all in all this was a decent read, I just think it could have been better.
