King (Volume 1) - T.M. Frazier

The second half of this book is what sealed the deal for me here. The first half was a bit annoying for me, because I felt like I was getting way too much of Doe's POV and not enough of King's. But, it became clear why this was, once I reached the second half of this story. This boon came just in time, so, many things were redeemed in my eyes where this story/journey with the characters are concerned.

There are some heart breaking things here. But it was still a beautiful story woven within the ugly depths of things that occur here.

I have only one gripe about a major reveal at the end of this one though. It doesn't seem to tie in well to the explanations given as to why Doe was in the situation she was in in the first place. Major contradiction. Major plot hole? Not sure. Hopefully book 2 will explain this for me.

There are ALOT of triggers here, so be warned. Tread carefully with this one. I may need a brief break before diving into the continuation of this story, but this is one that I would recommend.

Happy Reading :)
