Solid 4.5 Stars
Okay I think I may have found a new series to be obsessed about.
I LOVE this book. I have one minor gripe though, hence the 4.5 star rating. Though I loved the world building here, the set up for each brothers' character, and the whole plot/point of why we are reading about these people; I wasn't all that in love with the couple.
Keegan & Brynn. Though I totally love these two as individuals, and they did have some touching, hot moments together, I just couldn't fully get behind them as a couple. I don't know. I can't put my finger on it. But it was just something about these two that didn't completely blow my mind together. Something was missing. They showed promise at the beginning and even had a few flashes of hope for me as the story progressed. But in the end they just couldn't completely close the deal for me as a couple. But I love them.
I also fell in love with this world. The plot. Everything. The execution of it was flawless, IMO. I could not & did not want to put this book down basically.
The other brothers, I totally love as well. Taeg, Ronin & Dagan. Though I'm anxious to see how all their stories play out with the continuation of the plot, I will say I'm more eager to get to know Dagan & Ronin ALOT more.
I hope this is a series that only gets better with each book.
This was certainly a beyond promising, just awesome intro to this series. Though there is a continuation of the plot, there is no cliffhanger in this book. And there is an HEA for the main couple.
I HIGHLY recommend this read.
